I think they overstocked the tank, the goldfish is going to get pretty big. I feel so bad for it!!

Eugh,I hate gravel like that! I bought this exact tank with the stand yesterday and put sand in. The water was pretty cloudy so I couldn't really see where I was placing plants, etc so I literally just threw them in until the cloudiness clears, and It already looks better than that tank imo...

I agree, the gravel just looks wrong and I too prefer a natural looking tank. Artificial look tanks have their place, but there could do with being a bit more cover for the inhabitants in that tank.
