Now our first lot of guppy fry are growing, all their colours are coming through.

I noticed ages ago that one of our fry was silvery/gold and I called him/her Albi (Albino), very pale eyes too.

Now they are older we have 2 fry that are golden in colour rather than the regular silver, with beautiful orange tales (they are taking after mum). Are gold coloured guppy common? I have never come across any.

Hi,
its odd you should say this because, we just got 4 golden guppys with orange tails 2 boys 2 girls, from a silver female with a yellow tail, the dad is silver with an orange tail, my daughers kept the females we gave the males away. all the other fry in the same batch were silver.

If they have red eye's then their albino.

Golden body fish are called "Blond's" they are nore rare, but by far better colour form of the fish i think.

How ever if they do have red eye's then this is not connon and worth keeping.

No red eyes but they are the most beautiful colour. We have 2 gold and 1 that looks crossed. Not sure which we are keeping yet but definately one gold. With their orange tails they look gorgeous.

sounds loverly, should get a pic if u can to share with us.
