I have a new 10 gallon tank and 3 guppy fry and 2 swordtail fry i want to move them from my breeder net to my new 10 gallon but i just don't want to have them only living in the tank so i was wondering if i can put gold tetras in with the fry.

Gold tetras aren't very big so they might not be able to eat the babies and i am planning on planting the tank very heavily.
so any ideas on if this is going to work.

Places for the fry to hide are always a benefit. You would be surprised on what an adult fish can sometimes fit in its mouth. I've been surprised before. If you're going to have hiding places, where the larger fish can't get to the fry that's always a good start.

Caves are good for hiding from line of sight, but you might be surprised where some adult fish can squeeze into. The best bet is to get artificial plants. There is one that I can't seem to find right now that looks like a bunch of little bushes held together on a plastic piece. They have little places where adults can't reach but fry can hide in, so they work pretty well.
