Hi Guys, need some help here, Gold Severum on the moody trail.

Lost one of my pair a few days ago because of a crazy heater stat, and the remaining critter has gone on the sulk. I don't think that they were a male-female pair, however, he/she seems to have taken to sulking in the corner of the tank. Has developed an imense attitude problem, and won't eat. Any ideas?

He is showing no outward signs of disease, in fact seems pretty-much fine physically, just sulking. How do I sex them? I would like to replace the missing monster! They are just so cool!

Many thanks in advance. SUB.

Sub , welcome to the forums , Any other fish in with him { her } now ?

What happened with the heater ?
Maybe that has something to do with his behavior , maybe not .

How long were the pair together ?.

I've never kept more then one sev at a time , but they have always had tank mates , the sevs were usually at the center of things .
they were Friendly and curious .

maybe he is just lonely .

Try searching GOOGLE on the sexing thing until someone else comes along , good luck .

Mature male severum have longer pointed dorsal fins than their female counterparts. The males also have "wormy" markings on their "cheeks" and across the bridge of the nose. These traits aren't as apparent in juveniles.
