They're peaceful, the main thing is they're still cichlids, and if/when they spawn, they have a personality change and will become somewhat territorial. Even in that case, they shouldn't be too bad, as they won't defend a very large territory, and depending on tankmates they may never breed successfully anyway. Once my kehole cichlids eggs are all gone, they return to normal.
I have keyhole cichlids in a community, which are still peaceful but a good bit bigger than rams, and they're in with pearl gouramis. The few times they've become territorial, it's been other bottom dwellers that have taken the brunt of it, mostly the plec.
