Gold Nugget Pleco In Mbuna

Ferris how about clown plecos?... I am not trying to not take your advice, I just can't find good size bn plecos near me. The ones I have found are like an inch long... a sure snack. The guy at the LFS (realiable) said he keeps two with his mbuna.

I thought all clown pecs were a drawf variety, i have a clown in my Malawi fry tank and he wont grow much more than what he is.

They get to about 4 inches, just a little bit smaller than a bn pleco.

In case anyone was curious, I ended up getting the baby bn plecos. I am going to keep both in my community tank for a month or two so the larger one can grow an inch, I hope, then release it into the mbuna tank. The larger one in about 1.5 inches and the little one is about an inch so I figure any size the bigger one can pack on will help him later on.

I didnt know they got that big, thats cool. Ithought they were like 10cm
