Well, I was going to be a big show off (well ish), because we've just bought some really naff (my husband's idea) roman ruins for the tank  and some little amphorae (bloody show off) :D but I can't work out how to post the pictures onto the site. :*) Just wanted to share our naffness

The reason I am so embarrassed is that I am an IT training officer (however, I have recently been made redundant so maybe that's my excuse  ) and followed all the advice on "subscribe to photobucket" etc. However, having subscribed to photobucket (at an extremely horrendous fee of $9!) - don't even now what that is in sterling - I don't know what to do. I have saved the photos on the pc, subscribed to photobucket - now what. What's the link between the two?

Tried copy and paste etc. Please help and please don't tell any prospective employers!

Have I missed something - like a brain

Upload the pictures to photobucket, get the address of the picture, them post them on the board using this format:

[ímg]http://www.yourwebspace.com/yourpicture.jpg[/img]

Alternatively, in some sections of the board such as the photo section, there is a button under the input box to attach an image to you post directly from your own computer.
Simply click the 'attach image' button, browse to the image on your computer and click 'OK'

There should be a few boxes under the picture, one of which has that "code" in it (starts with the IMG)

I just copy and paste what is in that box right to this site.

Oh yeah..They are charging for Photobucket now?

Yes they appaently are charging for photobucket now. Now this is REALLY starting to annoy me - my own incompetence I mean. Whether or not it is the Digi camera I am using (which is admittedly very cheap  ) but I cannot upload the photos to ANYWHERE. I have a few options but none that allow me to move the photos anywhere meaningful. And whilst I AM embarrassed I am beginning to think that it is the software rather than me that is the problem because, despite appearances at present, I am not an idiot!!! :( :sly: :dunno:

Thanks for help so far - but obviously more needed!

They weren't 2 weeks ago that's when I signed up

I don't know about photobucket.... but I use Imagecave.com - it's free and even an idiot like me can use it. When you type a message or a reply in here there should be an IMG button in the buttons along the top, under FONT, SIZE etc. Hitting IMG will open a window asking for the address of your photo - just paste this from your album in imagecave and click ok.

HTH

Thankyou all so much _ I will investigate! I appear to have signed up to a premium bloody account with photobucket. Well that's what sitting outside in the sunshine drikning wine does for you! At least it appears to have only cost me a fiver! So far!!!

I'll let you know - I wouldnt' mind the photos are absolute garbage anyway!!!!!!!!!!!!! :(

Well thanks Sarah - that works much better - however, although I have uploaded images and clicked the "image" tag. It asked me for the address which I posted in - nothing has appeared on the forum.

I think I'm bored with pcs now :( :/  :flex:

I don't think they look bad at all, especially with all the little pottery pieces in front (that is what those are, right? Or are they rocks?)
