Well i ordered my bunch of glosso now for my little 2 gallon tank experiment, and i was wondering if the glosso would do well with the EI and a not so nurtrient rich subsrtate ( im only using a thin layer of sera floredepot and a layer of gravel, cant redo the tank again to make the layer of floredepot thicker!:) )

basically im estimating that the floredepot would provide enough nutrients for the glosso to pick up ? acclimate to the tank ? and then i would provide all of its nutrient needs through the water column... what do you guys think ?

Well glosso usually does better with a nutrient rich substrate but having said that some people can grow it on sand, i know its pretty hardy once it gets established and its hard to kill it off even with a certain amount of neglect, i would say it would work but i suppose it depends on how rich you think the substrate is, it might not be any harm to dose a little KNO3 in the beginning and hold back on the trace until you can judge how well or badly it is doing.

But other than that :dunno:

i see i see! im going to give it a try ! its not a 2 gal experiment if im not going to experiment on it! :D hehehehehe i wonder how the glosso would react to the temperature

My glosso grows well with trace element/Fe-packed EcoComplete substrate, but it has also spread out into and over the inert ocean sand terrace just as fast.
