Glofish Aggression

My glofish is quite the pig come feeding time! He attacks my neon tetras and they hardly get any food, which consists of ground up new life spectrum 1 mm thera+a and freeze dried brine shrimp. I will be getting more glofish as to create a school this week, but even with a school will his aggression continue? I can't have my neons being bullied, they're quite small at the moment

By glofish, do you mean glowlight tetra?

Being on it's own will likely be a source of stress and aggression for it. Whether putting it in a school will completely solve the problem depends on the personality of the fish and whether ita being aggressive for another reason (eg tank overstocking) and maybe the personality of the individual fish, but creating a school is definitely a good idea either way.

no, a GloFish is a zebra danio that has been genetically engineered to glow. I'm not planning on overstocking, it will be 2 ottos, 6 neon tetras, 5 glofish, and 1 or 2 sparkling gouramis.

My zebra danios, while I haven't seen chasing any other fish, definitely got less aggressive with each other (chasing) when there are more of them. I'd suggest a school of at least 5 or 6.

Otos live in groups, two isn't enough.

+1 on that - it should definitely help him calm down with larger numbers. He's probably just feeling threatened by himself with all the other fish around him.

When I first got danios I only started out with one and it stressed my neons to the point of death so I made it a proper school and now all of them are really peaceful

well, i dont have any room for 6-7 glofish and if they really cant handle the heat, i guess i have to put him in back in his midgety little 2.5 gallon tank or sell him or let him die

well, I just looked up the temps needed for the fish i wanted and now im all confused.....this ruins all my previous stocking plans so now i really need help with getting this together....I'm lowering my thermometer to be 74-75 degreese...i'm going to try to swap my glofish for another oto and then here's the stocking plan

6 Neon Tetras

i was wondering if anyone could tell me if i could use any of these fish instead of the glofish...these are just ideas so dont beat me up
1 or 2 Sparkling Gouramis
6 Rummy Nosed Tetras
2 Cockatoo Cichlids (i like them, but they may eat my cherry shrimp)
2 German Rams (think they'll eat the shrimp too)
5 Dwarf Neon Rainbowfish
