Hi people,

Does anyone have any tips on glass diffusers? Im looking at the ones from Aqua essentials? As having upgraded to pressurised in my nano I wanted to remove the plastic ladder and get something a bit smaller and less obvious.

Thanx

Sam :)

PS update pic of the nano soon, the HC and HM are growing like wild fire!

when its time for a cleaning i put mine in 50/50 bleach and water for bout an hour then soak it in over dechlorinated water for a couple hours to make sure all the bleach is neutralized before putting back in the tank.

Cheers, any advice on which are good/bad? which work well? which to avoid, etc?

Sam

i use this one
http://www.aquaessentials.co.uk/index.php?...06794ff30ef1a3e

the one with the spiral in.i think it helps diffuse a little bit more due to the inner spiral which i think gives more water contact time for the co2..i may be wrong but it works perfectly fine for me..plus the spiral kinda acts like a bubble counter for me even though i have one on my tank i can see and count the bubbles as they enter the diffuser..

i think all glass diffusers do a great job..its a nice step up from the ladder and looks nice also..

Cheers, :)

Just what i was after, will get one in the next few weeks

Sam

I would love to get one, but can never find one in Canada, or one in the states that doesn't charge a ton for shipping to Canada. Oh well.

Just be careful in your choice of diffusers, they range in price but what you have to consider is the effectiveness of the plate, you want something that will create a fine mist of bubbles, mine is not to hot at the right now I'm thinking of switching.
