I have 3 glass catfish in one of my tanks, i have had them for agggggges. And this morning i just noticed that one of them is starting to go opaque    i have done my water tests and they all seem fine and the other 2 glass cats seems fine. This one is acting fine, doesnt seemed distressed or struggling or anything, but i know enough to know that a glass cat going opaque is NOT a god sign.

The only thing i can think that may cause this is, one of my platys has been quite badly finned nipped by another platy so he is in an isolation tank, within the tank and im treating the tank with Melafix for the platys fins, which worked very well when i used it in another tank to help with another fin nipping problem i used to have.

Idealy i would have like to have separated the platy and treated him in other tank, but this is just not an optn the only other hot water tank i have is fully of babies small enough for him to eat, also i wouldn like the babies in a tank thats being treated.

What could be the problem with the glass cat, what can i do to help him? Im just so worried about him and i have no idea what the hell i can do! He isnt eating either and he is now hiding in a corner. :( :( :(

How many gallons is the main tank.
How many fish and which type.
Water stats in ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, and ph.

Any signs of flicking and rubbing, darting, or erratic swimming.
Any excess mucas on the fish gills or body.
What do the gills look like.
Is he acting listless and lethagic.
Can he maintain balance in the water.
Does he look bloated or thin.
