didnt realise you could use bits of glass in tanks. Went to pets at home and they had glass bits arranged in one of the display tanks and funky, so i thought i would try it in our little tank and it looks quite nice indeed will get somepics up later.

Do you mean those smooth, coloured glass pebbles?

A brand called Vivo make a glass like substrate for tanks which is perfectly safe for fish. it comes in red and white or blue and white...

its big pieces the size of aquarium rock.

If i find the camera i will take some pics

Can't make my mind up if I like it or not.
Think it would of looked nicer with sand than gravel.
Make sure there no sharp edges.

edges are very smooth.

Was firstthing i checked.

Was going todo sand in the small tank but had problems using sand in the large tank.

Just cleaned it this morning, switched the filter back on and the sand is all disturbed. looks like i will have to drain it again tomorrowto get it back to normal

The colour of the glass rock with look lovely with sand.

Mighttrysome in the bigger tank at a later date see what happens

Oooh, pretty.

Does it come in other colours?

I would maybe try it with a black substrate. Or white, like an iceberg-themed tank (although that might be a bit bright for the fishies!)
