Girl Beats Guy In Breeding ?!?!

Yes, I know you are right, and these aren't babies, but they are about the same as the Thai bred one I got and the others of breeder quality I got--well except for the ones from Synirr whose are teeny usually. :D

And as I say, there are so many spectacular fish available, if I wanted to breed VTs--and I love VTs--I would certainly look for a great breeder pair with good credentials.

well, i found the answer to one question... the female is definetly a male. She now He made his first bubble nest the other day. This of course explains alot. I still swear to seeing an ovistopore but w/e. Judging by the fact that he is probably now fully matured, he is young. Unfortunatly he is not exactly what i ahd in mind for breeding but he is still an interesting fish, with a story :). Taking into account frequent advice to contact a breeder, how would i find a local breeder and what is a normal price to pay for them?

You no longer see an ovipositor? I ask because females have been known to blow a bubble nest, although they are not as sticky and fall apart easier.

Do you want to find a breeder for a fish or help with breeding?

Well, it still has an ovipositor... the nest size is pretty decent though, not large. As for a breeder, i would want one for a fish.

bobbybetta, where are you in the world?
if you're in the US or asia www.aquabid.com is the place for you
i'm not sure if they can ship to europe, in the UK theres a ton of redtape to import fish, so we have our own little selection of UK bred or imported (by people with licenses) fish available.

Actually, I was going to suggest a nice pair from someone on the board. We have some good breeders who won't charge much and will ship or you can pick up, here or in the uk. I just thought it would be nice to know what she wanted.

I live in the US, in california. I think half moons are my favorite but getting a new fish depends on the sex of the fish i already have. If it ends up being a female then i will probably hold off until i have room to accomidate more fish.
