I have a giant drum that can be used to contain water. it used to contain some sort of cleaning agents and i was wondering if i could use it to store water for water changes. Also it is made of a white plastic, so i was wondering if i drilled in a hole and installed a bulkhead, would the water flow through a hose and into a tank?

Personally, if you can't guarantee what's been in it before, I wouldn't want to risk that it might contaminate the water and harm the fish. What about buying a water butt? They're designed to hold water, no chemicals and already have a tap...

If you're in the UK then B&Q, homebase, wickes etc, anywhere that sells garden stuff. Sure you can buy them online. If you're not in the UK then I'm not sure, but Google it :)
