Saw some of these larger otto cats labeled "Giant ottos" in my LFS today. They were quite expensive at £9 each.

Has anyone heard of them? There scientific name started as Hypoptopoma if I remember correctly.

There seems to be little info on them online. Any experiences with them? Are they good at eating algae? Are they like normal ottos, and refuse to eat algae wafers etc? How confident are they? How hardy are they? Max size?

Any input is great, as I would love to know. Maybe if they are right, I will get some one day :)

Out of those 2, it is the dwarf flathead suckers, I know they are not pitbull plecos :)

Well, Pitbull plecs are often known as Jumbo Otocinclus, they are much more common and are 'parotocinclus' or something like that...
