I'd do half the dose stated on the packet.

Thanks man, im on it now, ive read around too from what i gather they can be OK with most whitespot treatments

Thanks again

Simon

Just to let you know KNIFEY passed away at 10.05pm tonight!!!

Do not use interpet white spot plus if you have GHOST KNIVES

Yep, half the stated dose was added at 7pm it was a rapid downhill struggle from there im afraid, im gonna wait a couple of weeks, get this white spot out of the way and then go get another! or do you guys think i should leave ghost knives well alone. Im sure my Dad had one before and everyone tells me they are relatively easy to keep, even tame just they do not take to kindly to medication.
The warning on the box said it was suitable for ALL fish except the Elephant nose. HMM

I dosed my tank with kordon / aquaherbals prevent ich
it says it's 100% organic to treat ich and fungus.

i used the full dose without realising it might affect the bgk but he seemed fine about it.

Maybe organic is better than normal chemicals when it comes to scaleless fish?

Cool, ill finish with the interpet stuff then as soon as ive completed the course. and im nipping out later to get some of that organic stuff. When you say preventer does that mean you can drop it in every so often or is it a treatment?

yeah you can add a small dose regularly to prevent outbreaks of whitespot, ie add a small dose each time you add new fish etc. Only problem with this stuff is it's a mud brown colour and it will discolour your water.
Also my lfs had it on offer as they were getting rid of old stock so now they no longer stock it, only the interpet stuff :(

i lost a bgk while treating clown loach with interpet whit spot treatment just like you :( i have only ever had whitespot outbreaks coz of clown loaches so i wont keep them anymore.just to add i dont think it was the treatment that killed my bgk more a case of half dosing the tank wasnt enough to kill the ich and the ich killing the bgk :/ give up with clown loach not the bgk :good:

Adding a small dose will just help a stronger strain of the pathogen develop which could end up immune to the treatment.

The most likely cause of death here is the movement of a small BGK. I have found that those around 2-4" are very delicate and often perish for little reason.
