err no you didn't, you replied to me, it was quite obvious as no-one else mentioned purigen.


And yes I already know the benfits of purigen however my inital point was: you talk as though they're as good as each other except purigen is rechargable and my replying point regarding that fact is that purigen clears water far faster and far more effectively than carbon and not just with tannins...hence it is a better product in every aspect (and I'm not sure why anyone still feels a need to use carbon anymore).
And considering what the original post wants to achieve then I think purigen is a far better answer than carbon.

The posters original question has been answered and over and above that he/she has been given another (and seemingly better) alternative, exactly the sort of thing i would want if i was asking this sort of question.
