Sometimes, I just do "topups" of eveporated waters in the fishroom, and sometimes, I do water changes..... Now, tonight, was "topup" time.... (water changes are done with the hosepipe, and "topups", I do with buckets)

I noticed Mrs. Venter, laughing, (in the sleeve).... whilst I was doing my chores tonight...... I had to drag it out of her... "Now what's so funny"??.....

Turns out, that some time ago, (not so long ago).... I walked up & down some 15 times (from tap to tank) with a 25l bucket to do this.... and now, I walk almost 40 times with a 10l bucket to do the same job.....

Getting old is not for sissies.... I just cannot lift that 25l bucket anymore to fill the top tanks..... and being laughed at... adds insult to injury.

Small consolation I know, but you are not alone. I have a mild case of multiple tank syndrome but the back and hips starting to ache are restricting me to just two

Crikey LV

Although I;m only about a quarter of your age at 34 I;m starting to feel it myself.knees and back is creaking and get tired all the time after work!!!

Hopefully it won;t effect my fishkeeping though as this is my hobby for life!

I'm younger than you but know just how you feel. With 7 fish tanks and 2 turtle tanks water changes are becoming an exhausting and back breaking chore! Why do we do it? Cos they(fish) are worth it!
