Getting Married

As the title says im getting married this weekend and i was sitting there trying to work out my speech and i thought why not ask for some advice on the forum that given me some of the best advice i have ever asked for!

so i am hoping that some of you are as good at public speaking (especialy grooms speeches) as you are at fishkeeping!!

this forum hasn't let me down yet....

I speak publicly in my job every day and am married and have had to do a grooms speech

I personally think that planning is the worst thing you can do as it makes the delivery stilted and I find that once you start it just flows anyway

get some ideas of what you want to say perhaps and ad lib the rest adding the padding

good luck for saturday try and pause during the day to spend a moment with your wife and enjoy the party as it all goes so fast on the day

Humor is always great. Think back to a humorous event in your lives and liven it up...make a laugh of it. Congratulations.

Remember...a marriage is a like a fishtank...or car engine. You can't just ignore it or not change the oil. You periodically must stand back, check the oil/parameters, tune up and make sure it is running OK. Otherwise, you might find issues later down the line.
