I figured I may get a little more info in here than general tropical? Here's hoping anyway.

So I have a 12 gallon tall which now contains 10 pygmy cories and one applesnail who are looking rather lost down there on the gravel since my dwarf Gourami died last month :( .

It's heated to 26 degrees C and running with a Fluval 3 so it's slightly overfiltered.

I have decided to have a group of male endlers if I can get my mitts on some ( a nearby garden centre sometimes has them in their aquatic section )

I was thinking about a group of six, but is that enough? Or do they need a larger group? The filter is mature ( been running since march effectively as it was cycled in my 30 gal for that month and then transferred ) and I feel it could take the slight overstocking well enough . I am also regular with my water changes and do 50% weekly.

What do you think? Should/could I add more than six? could I stretch to 10 or would that be pushing it?

I have a tank of 30 or more and they play together in an 88 litre tank. And they are all males.

Ok so I did a conversion to litres and it's roughly 55. So 10 would be fine then according to that. Goodgood. I won't go over 10 though as I don't want to push my luck. Thanks :)

If you get really stuck for endlers give me a shout-ill bring some over to you if youre desperate.......

Really? Wow that's so kind thankyou! ^_^ If I really can't get hold of any round here then I shall PM you. I could meet halfway if I got trains ect.

I keep endlers too and would limit it to about 8 or 10 in that tank. The apple snail uses 2 gallons by itself so start counting after that for fish load. I'm afraid you are a bit far off for me to give you any. If you have both sexes, a few endlers more or less is hardly noticed.

Well, I have now ended up with just 2 endlers. The store only had those two left, both healthy thankfully, but they said they won't be getting in any more as they aren't popular apparantly  But I didn' want them to be stressed by being in such a small number, so I did also buy 4 male black and cream guppies. If and when I can get some more endlers the guppies will go into the 30 gallon.

No need for a train,i'll deliver to your door if you want.

Good grief really? I do live quite far away. Near Birmigham, are you sure you'd want to drive all that way? . How much would you want for the fish ect if I can't get any around here?
