What are some big fish that would go in a 55 gallon tank nicely? If not just one fish, what would be a good big fish to breed in there?Or maybe even a school. I dont know. Any recommendations?

get a pair of angels.. beautiful fish, stunning to watch, and lay eggs every month or so!

I was thinking of angels, but didnt know if they would be ok in there. How many should I get just two large ones? Or should I get a few jueveniles?

get large angels, theyle be mature enough to breed, or you could go for zebra danios, they lay alot of eggs each week

Do NOT just "get a pair of angels" as you first must get at least four and let them choose each other and pair up, then its up to you whether you want to take the others out. But if you don't then its highly probable the pair will make the other angels miserable during breeding time as their aggression will rise.

Again, unless you know its a male and female and they're a breeding pair then never ever get just two. Either get one or at least four of them.

You could go with malawi cichlids or a community tank....ever thought about livebearers?

Yeah I thought it was at least six juveniles or find a mated pair. Ok these are the sizes my lfs has: new born 1 month or 2 just got their round shape yes they are THAT small (smaller than a dime), quarter size, probably a size a little bigger than that, and some huge ones! Cant even really explain these ones. I did think of a lot of malawi cichlids. Did I ever think of livebearers for a 55 gallon? Not really why? The only time I really thought of that was for a ten gallon to feed my albino oscar who is growing like crazy

OK sounds like you have it as far as knowledge of what's out there and what is required for the different cichlids.

When I read "breed" I automatically thought of "livebearers". LOL

Do you want aggressive fish or a really peaceful tank? I would decide that before I'd go any further. I'm sure you know how aggressive cichlids can be.

Lol yea I understand. Yes I know how those cichlids can be. They can be nasty. I was looking into a semi aggressive aquarium.
