What type of tank do you have at the moment (Species / community) as well as is current inhabitants. also what size is it and how long has it been up and running ??? do you have any current water stats (Ammonia, Nitrite & Nitrate)

Blue rams are very sensitive fish and can pick up an infection very easy even in a matured tank.

Dwarf Gourami are not the hardiest fish either and prone to ill illness / disease, if they're not male and female pair then you may end up with one being bullied a little but the more dominant one.

blue rams really need a matured set up and again and just become ill / die after months / years of being healthy.

Kribs are a great set of fish !! can be Territorial and even more so when it comes to having fry, need to make sure you have plenty of hiding places and caves for them to spawn and hide in. if you can try and get a paired set if not then get the most colourful female you can find and then look for a nice male who is bigger but not too much bigger than the female and also showing good colour too, as if the female doesn't like the male at first she will make sure he knows all too well !

ok if i decide with kribs what can i put in the tank aswell? what have you got and any pictures?

i dont have any pics of my fish but if u look at my sig (below) at the Aquavital and the Fluval, both of these tanks have a pair of breeding kribs in them alont with the other community fish mentioned.

hmm, i wanted to have 2 emerald rainbow fish and maybe some Neon tetras to start, then maybe progress to a german ram?

Rainbow fish are nice, Ive got 2x bosmani rainbows and a Turquoise Rainbow fish (Melanotaenia lacustris) along with 6x dwarf / neon Rainbow fish
(Melanotaenia praecox) they do go well have a look HERE for pics of these rainbows. Neon Tetras should be ok too but try to get Large ones and at least 10 as a minimum as they're schooling fish
