Hi Guys i was wondering about blue ram stress and how they reflect this in their colour? ways to reduce their stress and make them feel more comfortable? i read somewhere that how defined their black stripe is can represent stress or illness? what does it mean when their black stripe is fading away completely? if they are not yellow around they head but a light grey/yellow is this a sign of stress? would they feel more comfortable with a few neon tetras for example to show that it is 'safe' to come out?

i have been unable to find more than a passing mentions to the mass of questions above and any advice on any or all would be muchly appreciated. :)

I wouldnt keep them without a "dither" fish, rasbora and neons are both a good choice and yes, they will help reduce stress.

since these fish are highly picky about their water conditions, can you please post your pH and water temperature?

Also, what sort of decoration do you have in the tank? Do they have any other fish in with them at all?
