German Blue Ram Flashing on Substrate

Update: it has been 10 days since I raised the temperature to 86F and I haven’t seen the ram flash at all in the past three days. I will keep the heat at this temp until the two weeks are complete just to finish the treatment, but so far it seems to be working!

This is just what I expected to hear. Continue as intended.

I frequently see flashing on newly acquired fish and in my QT (which is a planted established tank for less stress) after a week it generally stops and never comes back during the rest of the QT period before the fish are moved into the display tank. It is without doubt ich.

I added some rocks and plants! I also have a large piece of driftwood that I’m soaking but plan to add it in a week or two.
