Well they have been digging their pit fir few days and cleaning underside of a clay pot , just checked and we have eggs lots of eggs !!! It's there first time so they will prob eat them !! The dad is doing. Very good job it's full on war for him at the moment !!!

Struggling to get a pic that shows the eggs ! How long before you no if they fertilized ??

Unfertilised eggs will quickly turn white, usually the following morning you notice them from my experience with other cichlids.

So far so good ! Been about 30 hours now ! Can't see fry lasting to long in tank though , got a corner tank coming Wednesday may move them ? See what happens !

Sounds like a plan mate. Try adding a few more rocks around their patch so help them out a bit.

Jus had a look in pot with torch lots of little black heads !! Think we have a pair !!!!! wish I could get a pic up !!

Wrigglers? Try not to fuss them too much with the torch, this is what i did with my HRP and they were gone within a day.

Not to worry mate, usually common with the first couple of batches. The good thing is that you have a confirmed pair to work with.
