right here goes!

i have an aquaone 850 with the filter that came with it,im not with it enough to tell you what sort, but the filter trays are in the tank lid and theres a spray bar thing which runs across them, and then the filter thing is on the inside of the tank

anyway, i find this incredibly noisy, with the running/trickling water sound and it drives me insane, so....i am interested in getting an INTERNAL filter for this tank, but what i want to know is can you actually get them for this size tank? its about 155ish Litres
if you can get one, can anyone point me in the right direction?

The filtration is in-hood. This is a modle or two down from works display tank...

Internals will just about do it, but an exturnal would be better as always. ;)

For an internal, you couldn't go far wrong with a Fluval 4+, or even one of the new ones, the Fluval U4, might be worth a go. Better still a pair of either modle would be better :good:

For exturnals, a Tetratec EX1200, or EX700 at a push, would do it nicely. The Eheim Pro2 range would also be worth a look, and many consider them the best arround, but if you are on a budget, the Eheims may be a bit of a shock  The Tetratec EX1200 can be delivered with everything needed to go for £63 from 1st4aquatics.com :good: The Eheims will come in arround the £100 mark

All the best

I have an aqua one with the wet/dry trickle filter you have in your 850, and yes it can be noisy because of the water that doesnt stay in the top tray but trickles over the edge straight back down into the tank, I put some extra filter pads and wedged them in between the filter tray box and the sides of the tank and voila no trickling noise, also acts as extra filtration :good:
