Gasping At Surface

When you add meds to the tank it reduces the oxygen in the water, that's why you have to add a airstone with pump to put extra aeration into the water.

its the angel fish mostly at the top but the clown loach are gasping at the bottom :( balas are panicing

Is that after the water change, or before.

It's usually the clown loaches that are funny with the meds, if the other fish are suffering as well something is wrong, how old is the med.

the med is new and the tank is still refilling.the gasping seems to be slowing down the more tank fills unless its my imagination

Good, what's the name of the med.

How they doing, i would purchase an airstone and pump, get a gang valve as well to let you be able to turn the flow up and down, if they are ok, i would add the med back that you have removed once you have put the airstone in the tank, so you removed 30% of the water, so work that out in gallons, then add the med to the gallons you have removed.

Also till you get the airstone i would turn the temp down abit, good luck.

they seem to be back to normal. i asked my girlfriend to raise the temp a little when i was at work do you think this could be caused by a big temperature increase?i added the same amount of meds on monday and the fish were fine :/ or maybe i didnt read the instuctions properly.

thanks for your help m8 its appreciated im glad you were online
all seems fine this morning except my tyre track seems to be gasping a little with his head poking out from the sand should i do another water change?since i cant get a airstone till this afternoon

Yes i would preform another water change, good luck.
