Okay, so I just downloaded Abe's Odyssey for PS3/PSP via Playstation Store. I played it as a kid on the classical PS1.
It got me thinking, what else was out that was just so freaking awesome?

What are your favourites from the old gaming scene? Mine were Abe, Dino Crisis & Circuit Breakers :D

EDIT: Sorry, its similar to the other topic, what a dope I am  Would still be cool if you could post some PS1 classics up!

James.

The original splinter cell was amazing! It's all coming back to me now :D

Sensible Soccer '92 on the Amiga and Little Big Adventure '94 on the PC. Those are the games I think back to.

In fact I played Little Big Adventure through to the end again only a few months ago. One of those you get hooked game. Same as the KOTOR series.

Anyway no one can forget Golden Eye on the N64... absolute classic.

  • Upto 8 players, can be a mix of human and AI players, each is a wizard and is assigned a random selection of spells.
  • Spells are cast as real (in which case there is a chance they will fail) or "illusion" (guaranteed success, but they can be questioned by a "disbelieve" spell). Only one spell can be cast per round.
  • The ultimate aim is to use your spells (creatures) to kill off your opponent wizards.
  • If you have sucess in cunjuring a real "Golden Dragon," expect a series of "disbelieve" spells next turn while your unleash the ultimate creature upon your enemies!

Best of all, you can play this and many other oldschool games through freeware emulators on your modern day PC ;)

Final Fantasy VII was my favourite game on the PS1. Enjoyed it so much I played it through fully 3 times.

I just had to sell my copy of Oblivion.....I haven't got the time to dedicate to it. If you like that, you'll also need to buy Fallout 3.....same developers and very similar game but set in a post-apocalypse Washington DC.
