As some of you may know, I made the super bucket refuge :)

I want to cycle water between my tank and my nano cube, and my 2nd powerhead died today =/

This is my question, If I start a siphon from my tank to my bucket-fuge (1/2" hose and about a 3' drop) would it siphon fast enough to keep up with my 300-400gph powerhead (return to tank pump)

The bucket will be sealed, so if the return pump dies the bucket will only fill up so far. Thought about that beforehand :)

I don't think the siphon arrangement will be able to keep up. When I do a water change, I also use a 1/2" tube and nearly a 3ft drop. Based on the length of time it takes and the volume opf water I change, I would guess a rate of only about 30-40 gph at most. Unfortunately not even close to the rate of flow of your powerhead.
