Swiming in a pond. ...no, not really.
I don't have enough for new tablets to takre the chemicals out of my water, and I'm sick as a dog, even if I did. I have three fish in a 10 G tank, and I know I need to do a few water changes. Should I just leave the water as is? Or should I just put tap in for now?

Now for the sad news. My white beauty, Tsuki, ded yesterday. She got herself wedged under a rock while I was sleeping. :shout: I have horrible luck with my fish! T_T

RIP Tsuki.

I would personally wait a couple days until you can get some dechlorinator, RO water, or have set the water out for a couple days to let it dechlorinate via aeration. JMO though.

I think it only takes 24 hours for chlorine to naturally evaporate out of tap water, so if you don't have anything else nasty in your water, just fill a bucket now and get it started.

If you have chloramine in your water you can aerate it for a month and it will still be in there. Just wait until you can get a bottle of dechlor. Those little tabs are expensive for how much they're good for. Prime is 2 drops per gallon and will last you forever if you have a small tank. That's what I use.

I Have heard it takes 48 hours to evaporate, but I remember my sister, used to just use plain tapwater w/o dechlorinator, and her fish are still surviving and thriving after 4 years. But to be safe, I would let it sit for 24 hours. Chloramine never will evaporate though, and your local pet store de-chlorinator will usually neutralize chloramine. So as soon as you can, get some. Do you have a filter in the tank? IF so, ignore the water change for now. If not, depending on how dirty it is, 1) leave it and get de-chlorinatr in a couple days 2) Use the natural de-chlorination way
