Fuzzy Stuff

Can anyone help I have this dark hairy fuzzy stuff growing on my filter pipes, rocks and the edge of some of my plants. What can this be? Is it a form of algae? If I know what type I can probably find out how to treat it....or even better if anyone of you guys knows how.

If you can help me soon as it is spreading quite fast.

Don't no anything about it but it's called hair algae.

I'd say it's probably hair algae. But why don't you look at this website, and see which one it looks like?
