Hey everyone

Having a slightly odd problem.

My old Aquarium has started blowing fuses.
It has a main board that runs Lights, Filter & Heater and for some reason it keeps blowing fuses.
It's been fine until now but as soon as I put the plug in the lights come on then 2 secs later, Fuse has gone.

It's one of the Aquariums where everything runs from 1 plug so really stuck on what to do.

Please Help!

could be water getting into the lights, unplug every thing and then plug them in 1 at a time it will tell you which 1 is blowing the fuse .good luck :good:

Have the lights got a separate switch on the tank somewhere? If so turn this switch on and then see what happens. It could be the ballast causing the problem as sometimes these can go to earth causing a short between live and earth which in turn would blow the fuse.

Cheers Gordon

oh i see, no problems then, either get another heater or just sell it without heater and say they have to get a heater, it should not make any difference, i bought one of my tanks knowing the heater was cracked
