UPDATE:
After a full second week if protozin treatment and also treating with aquarium salt and raising temp a bit...
- Male seems much improved, patches have gone although colour is not fully back all the time time. Behaviour is a lot more normal also.
- I came to the conclusion that the white marks on the females head are wounds as they are gradually improving with salt treatment. Plus I figured she has never lost her colour even in the slightest so it can't be too bad. She has however stuck to her corner in the back of the tank and the two of them haven't been acting quite as paired? They can't unpair can they?

Also..
- have lost two corys this week, both who 'inflated'.
- found my shrimp eating a neon one morning. No idea how or why it died. But now down to just 7 neon in a 90l tank so may have to pick some more up.

My only guess for the deaths is just the chemicals in the tank and changes in water ie salt.
I plan to do a water change Sunday as the last treatment was Friday, and then to replace the carbon to my filter. I will update how it goes, fingers crossed.

Yeah, I was warned about that by my lfs so I only added a small amount and did half one day and half the next with the salt.

How much salt did you add each day per gallon of water in the tank? I'd appreciate knowing so I have some idea of how much was too much for them.

Well I used 4 English teaspoons over the two days in a 90 litre tank (about 23 gallons).

Had a good look at the female today and the marks on her face seem worse :/ ill add a picture if I manage to get one , although its difficult as she's spending most of her time in a cave.
