do people have sand,gravel or a bare bottomed tank in their fry tanks?

what sort of fry are we talking about? livebearer? fry from eggs? many people go bare bottom, but some, like myself do a very fine dusting of sand.

I have barebottom in my betta fry tanks, so much easier to clean in my opinion
