My 3 week old fighter fry are in a 24 x 8 x 8 tank (where they were first spawned). They are growing well and starting to colour up.

However, there's a good 100 of them and i was wondering if i should considder moving them as i have a spare 48 x 18 x 12 tank. If i did, the 48" tank would be filled with tank water to the same depth as the fry tank and slowly increased by adding fresh water every day. A sealed lid would provide humid air.

Too risky ?....if it ain't broke, don't fix it ?...leave it another week or two ?

Any help appreciated.

Andy

I haved moved fry from smaller tanks to larger ones on a few occasions at about a month old with no problems. A Bigger tank will make it easier on you and will also give your fry more space to grow. Be very carefull but i say go for it

definitely go for it. They will grow a lot quicker and it will be easier to keep the water clean.
