do tetras eat them ? the fry now are about a few hours old so they are quite tiny.

Fry don't actually need company. They'd prefer to be on their own, the more space for them the better.
Only fish I can trust that I've had so far with the fry are hoplo males. They're good guardians when in community tank, I've had 3 males guard fry of other species for whatever reason I don't know.

Six corydoras would be good as a cleanup crew for a fry tank though.
Tetras might attack fry, but not sure just how small their mouths are compared to molly fry. Depends what tetras too. If you mean Neon Tetras, they might just nip at the fry but not be able to eat them.

If you have a tank with nothing but well fed mollies in it, don't worry too much about fry predation. I kept this bunch with their mother from birth in a 10 gallon tank (call it 37 litres), do you see any missing at day 35?
