My betta loves his frozen krill and bloodworms, but since I only have one fish it's hard to break off such a small amount to feed him at one time. I've been putting the excess in a small jar of water and keeping it in the fridge for the next feeding. After 2 days I throw out what's left. Just wondering if there is any harm in doing this?

i cut a piece off with a knife

I do the same thing I keep it in the frige only one day but then its all gone as I have a 46 gal discus tank so they eat the rest of it. But like mentioned take a knife and just scrape off what you need for that feeding and put the rest back in the freezer. I usually buy the frozen foods in cubes so I pop out a cube and cut off what I need and put the rest of the cube in a ziplock bag and in the freezer.

Thanks! I do cut the cubes with a knife, but I can never get the right sized piece. They are hard to cut. Sometimes the piece flies across the room and ALWAYS lands under the stove, LOL. And I keep the partial cubes in a ziplock baggie also. Good to know I'm doing things right.
