iSnail,

They don't stay good very long once defrosted. One time I defrosted too much and left the extras in the fridge overnight to feed the next day but that's as long as I would stretch it.

Why would someone sell a frozen item on ebay? That doesn't make any sense. Like trying to sell frozen peas or something. Time to clean out the freezer, put it all up on e-bay, honey!

If I were you, I wouldn't use those defrosted bloodworms for more than a day or two, sorry to say. I have no experience with bad bloodworms making my fish sick but that's because I'm paranoid about spoiled food! Buy whatever brand your pet store has. Its got to be better than old hikari.

Hi TammyLiz

I put the defrosted bloodworms straight in my freezer when I got it through the post.... not sure if re-freezing is any good :/
I was a bit apprehensive when ordering it but since it was so cheap and there were no negative feedback about that particular item (.......I know I shouldn't rely on feedbacks on eBay      ) I just thought that I'd give it a try. Besides, I can't find this brand in my LFS. Anyway...... now I've learnt my lesson.... definitely stick to my LFS stock. Dutch Select is no bad after all

How bad is re-freezing the bloodworms? I don't use a whole cube per feeding, so I put the leftovers back in the freezer. =/ It's usually only been out of the freezer for about 20 mins though.

Well... mine was completely defrosted in the post and god knows how many hours that had been in air temperature for  ..... I'm just hoping that it hasn't gone bad since the package wasn't opened.

I don't know just how bad it is but I know with meat meant for human consumption once it defrosts you cannot refreeze it unless you cook it first. I think it has to do with the way it affects the texture and taste, though. If your fish don't mind it might not matter. Don't quote me on it, because I'm not sure. Certainly its not actually rotting in 20 minutes on your counter, though!
