My little brothers friend has a ten gallon with three rummynose, two cardinals, and what I think are lemons, plus one otto and one albino cory. I don't know anything about their parameters, but I know they do have a penguin mini. I don't know how big albino cories get, but theirs is about an inch. Can they get anymore fish? If they can, do you think they should get another cory?

If the friend is inexperienced and/or is very young, you should suggest that he/she keep the tank as is or get another one if more fish are desired.

It's just that I heard tetras aren't heavy waste producers, and his cory is hardly ever active, so I thought he might be good for one more. So yay or nay on one more cory?

I wouldn't. There are already a substantial amount of fihs in the tank. Also, since the staple food is algae discs for both corydoras and the otocinclus, there is a chance that uneaten algae discs could pollute the tank.

Since corydoras and tetras aren't the most hardy of fish, I would not suggest adding other fish, especially since all of the fish (save the otocinclus) should be kept in groups. :/

How many Lemon Tetras are there? All the fish he has like to be in groups of at least five or so, except the Cory and Oto, who like to be in groups of at least three. In my ten-gallon tank, I had five or eight Neon Tetras, two Otos, and three or four Corys. They all did fine. If this individual is a beginner, he's probably best off not getting any more fish. He could look in to trading a few of the fish in so that he has one school of five or so Tetras (of his choice), three or so Corys, and perhaps a couple Otos. The "get a bigger tank" suggestion is always a good one, but not always practical.

Hope that helps some

He just has two of each tetra except the rummies, he has three of those, and the one cory and one otto. I'm not entirely sure those are leom tetraas. he said they were, but he is also very forgetful :/ His mom takes care of the tank, not him. Tempest, they dpn't give any sort of tablets, he told me they just feed flake food once a week.

Okay, help me with this! Should they feed the fish more? The cory is always just sitting there, and I just found out that he's not even sure his mom cleans the tank out! Forget more fish. The gravel looks clean, and so does the filter cartrifge, but when I pulled it out to check all this junk came flying out into the tank! She must be cleaning the tank out because there's no junk caught in the gravel, and the tetras aren't dead. I don't know, this is hell! Now I'm worried about the fish. Maybe I'm over-reacting, this kid could have an a-bomb go off and he wouldn't notice... I'll just ask her later, I'm babysitting him right now...

Thanks guys!

Flake foods once a week!

Here are the problems that I see:
Not enough food, so the fish starve for 6 days then get food on the seventh.
The corydora and oto barely get food, if any, since the flakes would probably be eaten before they could gte to them.
The two fish mentioned above need pellets or discs.
They have to make a schedule for the mom to clean at least once every two weeks.
Need a water test kit to see what's going on in the tank right now.

If he wants to get more fish, he should give away the rummy-nose and lemons (you're not sure, eh... well, chances are they get to at least 2") and increase the amount of cardinals (perhaps get neons instead, since I they have a smaller max size) he has. Then he could get more corydoras (still not very many, though). An oto or two more as well, since they, too are social.

Ok, I think that's all.
