let's match em up, your copperItty Bitty Betta said:I'm surprised these came out clear. But it took like a billion shots![]()
Actually, my fighters are used as sparring partners for someone else's bettas I know who goes to Betta Arena matches. I'm not sure about the coppers, though. They are kind of small, but the guy who goes to the arenas said he matched a copper with the same-sized splendens and the splendens backed down and ran after a few minutes. Sure, why not have a 30 sec. match? Did you know fighting style is passed on through generations?bkk_group said:let's match em up, your copperItty Bitty Betta said:I'm surprised these came out clear. yah, there is one pinoy guy in my betta association group who ordered a couple of "5 star" fighters from some website. he keeps asking me to hook him up with the guys from laos who go across the border to seattle on a regular basis to fight their fish. he's kind of funny, whenever the association gets together he always calls me over to the side, makes sure no one is around and in a hushed voice wants to discuss "fighter culture". i've never fought my fish but a couple of months ago i witnessed a couple of my juvenile plakats get into a little blow-out in the grow out tank. it was pretty amazing to watch the two styles (even though they were brothers they went at it in different ways). at first i was going to break it up right away but curiousity got the better of me. it only lasted about 10 minutes until one gave up and swam away. they kind of took over the whole tank for a while, all the other guys in the tank just gave them room to go at it (maybe some tension had been brewing between the two...). anyways, that fight was a good sign to seperate and jar em upItty Bitty Betta said:Actually, my fighters are used as sparring partners for someone else's bettas I know who goes to Betta Arena matches. bkk~ omg, my plakats are fighting like crazy! I know they're not nearly as pure 'plakat' as yours (they're candy coated plakats) but...sheeesh! "Break it up" is exactly right! I watch 3 or 4 go at it at a time and they show no mercy, they love it

Usually it's the Thai fighters that will fight to the death. They are the fastest of the 3 types. The other two types are Vietnamese (powerful bite) and Malay (scales of armor but very slow).iloveyou said:as for the fish fighting... thats crazy... do they fight to the death or what?
