I feed my three fish flake food for the most part and some freeze dried brine shrimp :D once or twice a week. Is there anything else I can give them for a more varied diet :shifty: , I've already read you can give them peas.

Hi christine you could try frozen bloodworm, and there is quite a wide selection of frozen food available. Also if you ever have prawns or fresh fish for yourself take a small amount and mush it up and feed them that and lettuce can be popular with some fish just remember to wilt it first with a bit of hot water.
hope this helps

Feel free to experiment - fish are all individuals. Here's a few things you can try with your fish:

Blanched zucchini/courgette
Blanched cucumber
Steamed romaine lettuce
Boiled carrot
Mosquito larvae
Daphnia (water fleas)
Cooked egg yolk
Algae tabs
Shrimp pellets

Since mollies and platies are largely vegetarian they should have vegetables a few times a week to keep them "regular".

I have heard that feeding fish only meat will make them very aggressive
dunno really

Try to feed them cooked rice with peas when they are sick
be sure to break apart pieces

You could try turtle pellets
I have a turtle and the food I give it says "pellets may also be a supplement for adult tropical fish. They will readily accept them"

I worked on my goldfish but then again, goldfish eat everything!
