My Bolivian Rams must be getting bored with sinking wafers! But they never come very far up in the tank for their food, even tempting brine shrimp (but when they get a bit, they turn all kinds of happy colors! Cute!).

What does everyone feed their fish who like to eat on the bottom? I've got a wide variety of food but very little of it sinks!

Bloodworm is good, frozen or live, they make very happy fishes  Tetra prima sinks (and floats) thats very popular with all my fish.

Cuccumber/Courgette/Zuchini (depending where you live). Just attatch a little lead weight to it and sink it to the bottom. With vegetables it may take them a while to realise its food, but they love it when they do. Also i've heard bannana is really good, havent personally tried it but theres a thread here somewhere statings its brilliance. My plecs love strawberrys too. Failing that some good ol live food really works up an appetite :hey: I leave a pan of water in the garden somewhere for a day or two and nearly always without fail theres the larvae of some bug (forget what it is now), scoop them up and drop them in your tank. My fish LOVE them.

New Life Spectrum pellets are very high quality and the fish like them too. Sink well too obviously.

The Ocean Nutrition Community pellets or small cichlid omni pellets are also top quality pellets which do sink. Not used them myself yet though.

Thanks everyone! I will go to the LFS tomorrow...their food stock is impressive and they do keep a lot of frozen as well. Will bring these brands/suggestions with me!

I'd love to try veggies or bananas for them! I'll get a zucchini at the grocery tomorrow and see what they think. Thanks, "Isabel and Alejandro" are grateful as they are tired of the wafers and jealous of their tank mates who eat up top! ;)

ETA: Also going to have to give the live food idea a try! Thanks, Verminator! I bet my bunch will appreciate their meal. ;)

ETA2: They went wacky for the bloodworms, all of them! Thanks for the suggestions. It was like watching them eat pasta, hahahaha!
