Hey Guys!
I am just wondering if you can feed oranda res caps anything else then
their standard pellets. I know boiled peas are ok but anything else???
I've heard people talking about cucumbers. Can I feed them to oranda red caps?
If so how do I prepare them???

Goldfish LOVE fresh greens. I used to feed mine fresh cabomba that grew wild here. They loved it and it kept them regular. Now the cabomba is getting hard to find so I have been feeding mine Romain lettuce. Put a cup of water in the microwave for 2 minutes and then put the lettuce in it. Let it sit in there for a minute or so and then feed to your fish. My goldfish fry seem to like it.

Thanks for your help afishdude!
I'll definatly try that. Unforunatly cambomba doesn't grow where I live. So I'll try the romain lettuce.
And for peas, do you have to pop them out of their shell and boil them?

De-shell and blanch them. Get a pot of water boiling and drop the peas in it and shut the heat off. let the water cool and remove peas. De-shell them and mush them to feed.

Thanks afishdude!
