Hi, just got my first fish in a 125 litre tank, 7 long tailed Cherry barbs 2 days ago.
Are they difficult to feed? i.e fussy… I have fed them NTlabs probiotic granules 0.8-1.2mm size and they sort of like them, some of them spit them out again, but the excess that was left on a log was eaten. I tried King British bloodworm but it just floats on the top (some were taken) I also tried Fishscience fish treat, an algae tablet that you can stick on the side of the tank - guess what they totally ignored it! So I scraped it off. I read that they are hungry eaters, but these seem a bit laid back.

@connorlindeman suggestions are the best you could have. Most of the fish species we maintain naturally eat insects and insect larvae, by far. Crustaceans (like shrimp) are next. So the frozen daphnia (insects), bug bits (insects) and frozen shrimp are very good nutrition. Feed frozen daphnia and shrimp over any dried variety.

Bloodworms are fine but only once a week, and use frozen in this if you feed bloodworms.

Yes, those fish are not known for being picky.
So I would feed a variety of foods like fluval bug bites and frozen brine shrimp.

Also a bit off topic but it sounds like you got the fish when you got the tank. Is the tank cycled at all? Or at least heavily planted?

Are the fish in question in the tank in your pfp?
If so, in the near future you should consider getting some more plants in it. It will make the fish feel more secure and comfortable.
