I think they all accomplish the job equally well. Like posted earlier its in how they are maintained.

They have a great thermofilter at www.eheimparts.com.

It's the Eheim Professionel II thermofilter - water-heating canister filter.

There's one for up to 92 gallons and one for up to 158 gallons. Eheim looks like a good one!

eheim has a external canister filter with heater, and i believe the heater is digital. its a little costly but i love eheim filters.

Thanks alot for all of your replies.....I got 1 404 for the 90 and two for the 180 that is not set up yet.....YAY I got a 180!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
