Thinking of upgrading filter to a decent external but for now the existing one is doing a good enough job.

As for stocking I might increase the neons or add a couple of bolivian rams or german blue rams.

Any advice is always appreciated.

well im thinking of getting some zebras but i have 6 yoyos lol so i wonder if i should not or get 6 zebras but how much did you pay for your zebras?

I think if i had a couple more yoyo's it would be ok but just dont have the room. The zebras cost £10 for the 3 of them.

Looks like a good start, have you thought about a background for the tank? I recently changed from a picture background to Black Card and the difference is amazing.

Also out of interest how long has the tank been set up? and whats the quality of your tap water like? :good:

I was thinking of a black back ground, just cant be bothered with trying to access the back at the minute. Will do it at some point though.
This particular tank has been running a couple of months. I just bought an old tatty one off ebay to get me started about 5 months ago & I quickly became hooked! Treated myself to this tank & have just setup a small betta tank too!
Water round here is 7.4ph range. The tank conditions are really settled & although i dont really like the filter it does a decent job & i'm pretty keen with the water changes.

Access to the back of my tank is also a pain, I purchased two A1 size pieces of black card and cut them to size and just slid them round the back of the tank. The the card can be slid in and will sit in the gap between the plastic base and glass, the same at the top so you will only have to use a bit of clear tape to hold the sides secure.

And if you do decide to get an external just chuck all the mature media in from your U4 and you should be good to go. Plus you will free some space up inside the tank, if money is not an issue you could also get an inline external heater so the tank will then be clear of equipment and look a lot nicer :good:
