I know a few of you have a Fluval Roma 125 and I was just wondering where you put the filter? I have put mine in the back corner, with the current being pushed out to flow along the back. That looks fine, but it seems to be creating a very strong flow in the tank. Would it be better to have the filter pointing towards the front? I'm just worried that smaller fish will be thrown around as it stands.

It is the filter that came with the tank, a Fluval U3.

Many thanks

Ryan

As long as the fish have some places to get away from the current for a while, current is usually both a good thing for them and a good thing for the tank. Its one of the hardest things to quantify, talk about and advise about over the internet though.

The fish are abl to swim around, but I notice they tend to hang around in one corner of the tank (near the intake) more than anywhere else. This morning I woke up and all 6 fish were under the filter, presumably in the calm spot there. They aqre all new to the tank (less than 24 hours) should I just give them time to acclimatize before adjusting anything?

If you noticed them all in one spot in the morning, that is probably where they went to sleep. My own fish hang out in 3 or 4 places in each tank while they are sleeping.
