Fluval Fx5 And Juwel Vision 260 Cabinet

Okay a new project.

I am going to buy a Juwel vision 260 and cabinet and one of the external canisters I want to use on it is a new Fluval Fx5. Now the question is does an Fx5 fit in one of the two equal sized cabinets of a Juwel vision 260 cabinet?

I have looked at Juwel's website and they only give a total dimension of the cabinet and I cannot find the internal dimensions of the two cabinets in the main cabinet. Does anyone have a Juwel vision 260 and can give me the INTERNAL dimensions of one of the storage cabinets? They look exactly the same?

Part 2 what are the External dimensions of a Fluval Fx5?

I would appreciate your assistance in this project.

I used to run an FX4 on the rio 400 and it only just fit in the cabinet, so unsure how well it would go in a vision 260.

Dimensions of FX5: Diam of main container (at top) : 37cms but motor sticks out at bottom making that diameter 45cms

Height : allowing for hose attachment : approx 56cms

Nip to a LFS which stocks juwel tanks with a tape measure Failing that, find one going for sale on ebay, message the seller and ask them as you need to know before bidding on the tank

i don't have an vision 260 but can gurantee a FX5 won't fit.

the cabinet dimensions are 121L x 73H x 46W cm

and 121/3 = 40.3cm as the stand is in 3 equal sections so if you take of the thickness of the wood u can getabout 39.5cm inside so nope it won't fit

I see what your getting at James thanks for that took the thickness of my Juwel Trigon 360 tank cabinet pannels done some maths along with your help and minxfishy's and it looks a definate no which is a bit of a shame I really wanted an FX5 this tank is going in the living room so the external filters need to go inside the cabinet

So I guess it will have to be a Tetra tec 1200 or another fluval 405. I know a lot of people dis the Fluvals 105 up to 405 but I have never had a problem with my 405 but then again I am quite obsessive with my maintenance of course there is the whole Eheim range to look at size in mind.

Hmmm I think I will have to ponder on this one and do some more reading.

The eheim pro 3 externals fit in the vision 260 cupboard, thats what i have and They are good filters
