Only problem is i really want a shrimp but im not sure where to get one, the fish shop where i bought the edge from doesn't do them i dont think and im not that happy with the "experts" because they sold me the mollies knowing full well there not suitable for my tank. im not sure the others i know of have shrimp in. but i guess the moral of the story is, dont trust employees of your LFS

Which pet shop did you use?

My local pets at home sell ghost and armano shrimp and they're pretty up on their fish (bit biast seen as I work there ), and there's another aquatic shop close to them who sell cherry shrimp....I think

I used a pet shop called the fish people, only a small place changing owners i think soon aswell,
to be honest ive never went to pets at home do you have a website i can have a look at?

I swapped my mollies for 3 male and 2 female guppies, to my suprise this morning i looked in the tank and there was one fry!! i think its a mollie, luckily a few days ago i bought the filter for the water intake so it stops fry being taken up the inlet pipe.

I'm afraid that was a very bad decision...

Guppies should always be kept in a 2 females to every male ratio; male guppies are sex mad and can lterally harrass the females to death if there aren't enough of them.

You don't have room in an Edge for fry anyway, you should have got all males

If you were surprised to see one fry, you might have a fainting fit when you see how many you have in a month it so... Mixed sex livebearers in an edge - nightmare! The (outnumbered) females have nowhere to hide.

Which size edge have you got?

One fighter would be okay. Or you could avoid fish and get dwarf aquatic frogs- they are lovely xx

Only thing with a fighter is that though the volume would be great, as they breathe air, the small air space isn't ideal, even if they learnt where to go for air.
