Hello all.

I have got some fine fiter media and placed it in my canister. The water still has particles floating around after 2 days. I have removed one fiter pad and placed the new stuff in the left hand side of the foam screen frame as you look at the front of the cannister. Is this the right side i fear i have put it in the wron side and that is why the water is'nt as clean as it should be.

Any ideas?

hi , make sure the pad is in the top basket in the 305 . if you look at the pad one side of it will be really fine, one will be less fine . Make sure the really fine one is facing up.

Also the 3 baskets are split in two , so make sure the top basket has a polish pad in each of the sides.

Hope this helps

I have purchased a matt of fine filter media that you have to cut out. Where should i place that. Sorry dont completely understand. I got 4 course pads with the filter that go at the side.

Sorry for being a dullard lol.

no problem mate lol!! You have the foam screen at the left and a stack of three baskets at the right? Correct?? . Make sure the pad is placed in the top basket in the two sections.

Still unsure?? Just ask and i will try and explain it better to you.

i see. So.... I should place the corse pad that i removed back into the side and then cut out some new fine filter media and place it into the top basket (both sides). I will have to move my ceramic hoops down a level at this point to leave the pads in the top.

Is that it lol?

yes mate thats it!! So the foam in the frame at the left . The bio rings in the bottom or middle basket and the floss in the top. Oh , and if you want really clean water you can put 2 or 3 layers of the wool on top of each other.
